Maria Montessori
Un environnement complet et organisé pour que chaque enfant puisse découvrir les différents apprentissages tout au long du cycle 3/6 ans.
La pédagogie Montessori permet de développer la curiosité et d’aborder la notion de « travail » de manière positive et enrichissante.
La présentation du matériel se fait dans un premier temps avec l’éducatrice, puis l’enfant peut répéter à son rythme pour assimiler en profondeur le concept.
Une classe 3/6 est organisée en plusieurs aires, chaque aire est préparée et organisée au quotidien par les éducatrices afin que les enfants aient leurs repères et progressent dans la joie.
L’équipe est composée d’une éducatrice francophone AMI et d’une éducatrice anglophone, également Directrice pédagogique.
Les enfants sont dans un bain de langage anglophone quotidien afin de leur permettre d’entendre régulièrement la langue et de pouvoir s’exprimer selon l’intérêt de chaque enfant.
Aire de la vie pratique
Children develop independence and coordination through activities like pouring, cleaning, buttoning, and preparing snacks. These exercises build confidence and help them focus and care for their environment. They also build strength and fine motor skills that will serve the children for writing and creative work.
Aire du langage
In a Montessori classroom we start with phonetics and training the ear to differentiate sounds. Children build vocabulary, then eventually reading and writing through sound games, sandpaper letters, and reading activities. Individual accompaniment allows us to capture the sensitive moments when students are ready for the next step.
Aire des mathématiques
The Montessori mathematics activities are designed in a very comprehensive and evolutive way to support the comprehension and eventual abstraction through sensory manipulation. We always start with counting and number recognition, and work our way through the materials progressively, at the student’s individual rhythm. Children learn quantities, numbers, operations, and abstract concepts using hands-on materials like beads and number rods.
Vie sensorielle
Sensorial activities help children explore colors, shapes, sounds, textures, and smells to refine their senses. They also help children classify, compare, and describe what they observe around them. This material is crucial for the younger students through the tactile manipulation of objects , as well as for older students to deepen their understanding of volumes, colours and shapes.
Géographie
Children discover continents, countries, cultures, and people using maps, globes, and cultural objects. They learn to appreciate the diversity of the world and to respect differences.
Sciences & découverte du monde
Children explore plants, animals, seasons, the human body, and natural phenomena through observation, hands-on activities, and simple experiments. They ask questions, form ideas, and discover the world around them.
